PROPERTY: New Dream Office Park In Paarl

Recent Western Cape Business News

TWO major property companies are collaborating on a significant office park in Paarl.

The new development has the added appeal of being right next door to the Paarl Mall, a modern retail magnet for the entire Boland region, and a centre for community activity in the district.

The 5 000sq m Paarl Business Park is a project initiated by national property development and investment group Atterbury Property, and Prosperito, a national developer based in Cape Town.

The site’s immediate proximity to the four-year-old Paarl Regional Mall, which has established itself as the primary retail resource and community focus for the town and surrounds, will increase the significance of the business park as a base for professional practices and corporate headquarters, the developers believe. With five separate buildings to be completed in stages starting early next year, the park’s offices are for sale or rent from 60sq m upwards. The flexible A-grade accommodation is on ground and first floor levels, and occupants and visitors have generous basement parking.

“‘The Paarl Business Park is strategically positioned in terms of its direct access to the N1, and its visibility both from the highway and the retail centre parking area offers a valuable branding opportunity for occupants” says Mark Mouton, MD of Atterbury Cape. “It also has the attraction of flexibility, being able to accommodate both smaller business and larger corporates, and allowing for growth.”

Prosperito MD Gerhardt Jooste says the decision to use the land for an office park has its roots in the imperatives that have developed with the significant migration of families to this area of the countryside. “Paarl has an enormous rural attraction, and offers a wonderful life for people who want their kids to have the best opportunities for personal growth.”

Prosperito and Atterbury, while undertaking their own major independent projects, have also collaborated on successful joint ventures that include the Fountains Regional Mall at Jeffreys Bay, the 30 000sq m Bella Rosa Village, a mixed office and residential project near Durbanville, as well as the 30 000sq m Tygerberg Office Park where both have offices.
