A new PTFE diaphragm has been developed, initially for the G03, G04, P200 and P300 Hydra-Cell pumps.  In these pumps the newly designed diaphragms exploit the exceptional chemical compatibility of PTFE, while freeing it from previous limitations on its use.

In consequence the application range over which Hydra-Cell pumps can operate on chemical duties – including metering, dosing and transfer – is effectively extended, with no sacrifice of the unique combination of features already familiar to the industry.

The new PTFE diaphragms offer more than twice the working life of previous versions, having been tested (in P200/P300 metering pumps for example) over a programme which included tests to over 240 million cycles (4000+ hours at 1000 rpm).

Importantly for some applications, pumps with the new PTFE diaphragms can work under flooded suction inlet conditions, reliably achieving their full flow rate – with no loss of flow when compared with performance achieved using elastomeric diaphragms.

For the first time the higher pressure models, G04 and P300, can be offered in combination with PTFE diaphragms.
PTFE diaphragms can now be used in plastic pump heads.
