MANUFACTURING: KMG Streamlined
Recent Western Cape Business News
TO better serve their Cape based clients, Kulungile Metals (KMG) has consolidated its service centre in Montaque Gardens and its Epping warehouse. Stockholding at their Cape operations has been increased and expanded with a comprehensive range of steel, stainless steel and aluminium on offer.
The service centre (previously known as Bryco) continues to offer value adding services to its clients, such as laser cutting, decoiling, stainless steel brushing, material PVC coating, guillotining, notching and marking as well as CNC bending and CNC punching.
KMG has over the years established itself as South Africa’s third largest supplier of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. “Our ability to meet the qualitative needs of a client, ensures that a company has no material let downs” says CEO Sampie van Rooyen.
Established in 2001, the group’s success is built on the natural fit between the operations of Baldwins Steel and Stalcor. “Recently Global Roofing Solutions or GRS, joined the KMG stable,” says van Rooyen.
KMG processes, distributes and supplies steel, stainless steel and aluminium in the form of sheet, plate and coil, as well as structural and other long product profiles. Since 2007, KMG has been a black empowered company with a large distribution network throughout South Africa.
